All....Thanks so much for your emails about the VK project. Over the last couple of weeks, I have received numerous emails about kits and blueprints and where to buy etc. I decided to answer alot of your questions here to save us all some time emailing. The VK was constructed entirely from scratch using styrene sheets, brass tubing, vacu-formed styrene, kit-bashed model parts and an assortment of odds and ends from all over my house. Many people have asked me about blueprints. to be honest, I dont use them. If you want a real laugh, I can show you the 4 sketches I made from looking at the LD and DVD. In any event, I just started building. Although the screens are backlit and the bellows operate, the VK is not motorized in that the arm and camera rise by themselves. However, a fully working version is being developed. I would love to tell you that I have some great secret information about the real prop, but unfortunately I dont. When I do get some definitive information about the prop, I will go ahead and start the fully working, highly detailed version. Until then, I dont find it worth the effort to do it.

I am still happy to answer anything else you may want to know, and I hope I can be of some service to those of you who want to build your own. If anyone gives it a try, please send us some pics.

...And for all of you who came out to the Millenium Expo to take a look at it, Thank you for all your kind words. It was definately a high point in my life when someone would rather take a picture with one of my models rather that a movie star!
